Seekofel

From Lake Braies hotel (1,496 m) we take route 1, a steep path which begins on the south side, at the foot of the mountain face, and climbs steeply across the scree. We continue on route 1, through a dark gorge (Forno) leading up to the Sora Forno Col, with shop (2,380 m, 2.5 hours. The Rifugio Biella, 2,327 m, is just a few minutes away). From the col we take the route to the north, which goes up a steep zigzag path to the shoulder, equipped with fixed ropes in some exposed sections. From there the route across a wide rocky ridge on boulders and scree is easy all the way to the summit (2,810 m; 1.5 hours from the col). Take extra care coming back down on the same route.
